Dan Counsell Founder
Based in Hove actually, Dan lives in a floating castle in the sky with his Wife and two children Holly and Noah.
Dan is addicted to technology and coffee, luckily both of these things go rather well together. To try and offset these unhealthy obsessions, Dan likes to spend time with his family and go running whenever he can find the time.
On the official paperwork Dan is the Director of Realmac Software, but prefers the title of "Big Chief".
Ben Counsell Web Developer
Ben was raised on a strict diet of Apples. His obsession with everything Mac is, therefore, understandable.
Ben looks after everything web related and can often be found tinkering with PHP, CSS and Javascript.
Ben still reminisces about when it was just himself and Dan working from the spare room. He now lives in Sweden with his girlfriend and is often found enjoying photography, snowboarding and a Smörgåsbord or two!
Nik Fletcher Product Manager
Nik joined Realmac in October 2007 and is now responsible for Customer Support and Software QA. He acts as the gatekeeper for our products to make sure that every release is as stable, reliable and user-friendly as possible.
Around the office, Nik can usually be found sketching out ideas for our apps, writing about what we do, looking after some of our apps and drinking tea.
Away from his desk, Nik can be found writing on his journal or tinkering about with the iOS SDK. He lives in Hove with his fiancée Steph.
Luke Hefson QA
Luke has battled with a painful addiction for ten years.
It all started with someone offering the first go "for free" (on a university eMac) and with no prior knowledge of Apple computers, this quickly developed into a hunger that could not be satisfied in the IT room. Four MacBooks later Luke still hasn't kicked the habit.
In joining Realmac, Luke has since learnt to put his addiction to good use by answering support requests, testing applications and creating kick-ass documentation.
Keith Duncan Engineer
Keith, or ‘The Captain’ to his friends, is a workaholic. When he's not writing code at Realmac Towers, which isn't all that often, you'll find him conquering the World (of Warcraft) or reading a book.
To say he likes cats, would be an understatement. Like a cat, Keith hates the cold, and the winter, and would quite happily live somewhere closer to the sun.
Around the office Keith is a talking docset and the resident debugger. He loves solving problems.
Ted Bradley Engineer
Ted, as a small child, cut his coding teeth on the Amiga. As a teenager he then moved on to the larger (think big fridge sized) ESA/390s, and other Unix mainframes, working at IBM’s UK R&D lab.
Prior to finding Realmac, he ran away from IBM to become a games console coder, working on SingStar and Worms.
When not hoarding books, he enjoys running, experimenting with hard substances (tea, coffee and chocolate) and surfing the wind slop waves around Brighton.
Chris Downer UI Designer
Meet Chris. He joined us in May 2010 after deciding the course he was studying at university just wasn't for him.
With an eye for pixel-perfection, Chris can be found working close with Dan designing a whole range of things at Realmac HQ from UI for our next top-secret apps to the very page you're looking at!
When he’s at home, Chris enjoys reading up on his general knowledge, watching Bill Murray movies and 90‘s American sitcoms.
Damien DeVille Engineer
Damien joined Realmac in August 2011.
He spent the last few years studying and working across Europe finding his path through Mathematics, Economics and Computer Science. Damien has a passion for languages and he always finds an occasion to learn new words in some exotic dialect.
During his free time, Damien enjoys cooking mediterranean food, watching TV shows, spending hours reading textbooks and traveling across the world.
He lives in London with his girlfriend Karin.
